Donald W. "Shelley" Ramsay, age 69, of Pipe Creek, Jacobsburg, Ohio, died Thursday, October 23, 2003 at his home. He was born May 14, 1934 at Pipe Creek, son of the late Chalmer L. and Elizabeth L. Berry Ramsay.
He was a retired carpenter from Blount Brothers Construction in Montgomery, Alabama. Shelley was a member of the Jacobsburg United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee; he was a member of Moriah Lodge # 105 F. & A.M. at Powhatan Point, Ohio and he was a member of the Carpenters Local # 186.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville and Berry Ramsay; and a sister, Ruth Carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey V. Knight Ramsay; two sons, Donald E. Ramsay of Pipe Creek and Randy W. "Buck" Ramsay of Shadyside; four granddaughters, Heidi McClure, Heather Ramsay, Jessica Ramsay and Alison Ramsay; three great grandsons, Ethan, Micah and Jonah McClure.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where services will be held on Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio. Masonic Services will be held on Sunday, 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
