Sara Delores Youst, 94, of Shadyside, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home. She was born June 27, 1929, in Key, OH, a daughter of the late Asbury M. and Mildred O. Warner Hammond.

Sara graduated from Shadyside High School in 1947. She was a former salesclerk of G.C. Grant's and a seamstress at Bobbie Brooks in Bellaire. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Paul G. Youst in 2018, two sons, Barry L. Youst in 2013 and Curtis P. Youst in 2021.

Sara was the last of her seven siblings, including brothers, Robert, William, Dale, and Jack; sisters, Margaret, Nancy, and little Mary.

Sara is survived by her son, Richard A. (Gerri) Youst of Hendrysburg, OH and daughter, Paula D. (Ted) Zagoric of Shadyside, OH; six grandchildren, Joseph P. (Melissa) Youst of Delaware, OH, Marisa A. (Mark) Callipare of St. Clairsville, OH, Steven D. (Jaime) Youst of Weirton, WV, Jordan P. Youst of Hendrysburg, OH, Lori A. Tonello of Pickerington, OH and David M. (Marcia) Zagoric of Rockbridge, OH; 12 great-grandchildren, Julia, Emma, Sophia Callipare, Rory, Cady, Penny Youst, Blaise, Rachael Zagoric, A.J., Adrie Tonello, Jacob and Cadence Jobe; daughter in laws, Marla J. Youst and Donna J. Youst; sisters in law, Sally McAninch, Mary Ann Passmore and Mary Jo Hammond; and special friend, Bob Cieslewski; along with her furry companion, "Millie"; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thanks to all the girls at Valley Hospice for the support, help and kind words for Sara and her family.

Honoring Sara's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
