Milligan, Sara Knox, 95, of East Main Street, Barnesville, died September 25, 2009. She was the wife of Harry Milligan who passed away December 24, 2002.

She was born January 17, 1914 near Glencoe, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna McMaster Knox.

Sara was retired from the former Belmont Sanitarium. She lived in Bethesda for 20 years and was a member of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Carl Knox of Glencoe and James Knox of California.

Surviving are her devoted family, Janet Smith Nelson (Ed) of Fremont, NE, Wilma Simmons of Alliance and Gloria Miller (Richard) of Beallsville, Hope Smith Ghaffari (Farhad) of Hampton, VA, Renee Smith Hunter (David) of Barnesville, Brent Smith of Duluth, GA, Amber and Ryan Hunter, Amanda, Michael and Kevin Ghaffari, a niece, Thelma Knox of St. Clairsville and all her special friends at the Walton Retirement Home.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services at 2 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
