Sandra Elizabeth Melchiorre, 81, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

She was born February 2, 1936 in Glen Willard, PA, a daughter of the late Sanford Elijah Boggs and Margaret Elizabeth Slingluff Boggs.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grammy, sister, and aunt, and friend to all. She was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church in St. Clairsville, a homemaker and former greeter at Walmart in St. Clairsville, an active volunteer at her church, St. Clairsville Food Pantry, and St. Clairsville-Richland Schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Melchiorre; a sister, Gail Boggs Stoner.

Surviving are her children, David (DeAnn) Melchiorre of Salem, WV., and Debbie (Mike) Gordon of St. Clairsville; a brother, Dennis (Marlene) Boggs of Martins Ferry, OH; three granddaughters, Stephanie, Abbigayle, and Ashley; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday at Christ The King Lutheran Church in St. Clairsville from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Deborah Gable officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church or St. Clairsville Public Library.
