Sammy L. "Meat Ball" Baugh's Obituary
Baugh, Sammy L. "Meat Ball", 70, of St. Clairsville, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Sienna Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in St. Clairsville on December 9, 1939, son of the late Darcus and Dorothy Mae Nolan Baugh.
Sammy was a retired coal miner from Saginaw Mining Company in St. Clairsville. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball and was well known around the Ohio Valley playing in many leagues. He also was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gussie Baugh; a sister, Lois Baugh; and a stepbrother, Bill Denham.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Sharon Brown Baugh; two daughters, Lisa (Gary) Myers of Dillonvale, Diane (David) Truax of St. Clairsville; a son, Michael (Kathy) Baugh of Flushing; a stepdaughter, Michelle Dake of Utah; a sister, Vicki Dunn of Batesville, Ohio; a brother, Jim Baugh of St. Clairsville; six grandchildren, Logan, Sydney, Camden, Lindsay, Anna and James; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Rev. David Demarest officiating.
