Obituary

Sally Shinoski Pubal Pauchnik, age 90, passed away on August 23, 2018.

She was born in Fairpoint, OH, to Joseph and Anna Salek Shinoski and was the fourth of eight children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Henry Pubal and Louis Pauchnik; her brothers, Ginger, Brownie, and Andy; and her sisters Helen Bell and Sophia Yemich Sasser.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Baird (Michael) of Rayland, OH, three granddaughters, Kelly Valuska (Tom) of Rayland, OH; Tracy Bergman (Bryan) of HI; Jamie Thompson (Scott) of Stoutsville, OH; six great grandchildren, Megan and Emily Valuska, Evan and Isabella Bergman, Isaac and Luke Thompson; sister Josephine in Maryland and brother Joseph of Fairpoint, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a lifelong resident of Belmont County.  She worked at Bobbi Brooks, Clevite, and the Fairpoint Polish Club where she was an active member for many years.

Sally made her funeral arrangements almost 20 years ago and did not want a funeral service.  The family will hold a private memorial.  Per Sally's request, she will be cremated and interred at the National Cemetery of the Alleghanies.  Both of her husbands were military veterans.

Without death, there can be no present moment, for the last moment has to die to make the next one possible.

There can be no present love, for the last emotion has to die to make a new one possible.

To enjoy our present life, our old cells have to die to make new tissue possible.

This is the miracle of creation, life and death joined in an eternal dance.
