"Bud" Kriechbaum

Samuel Laverne "Bud" Kriechbaum, 94, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died February 14, 2023, at his home.
He was born March 19, 1928, in Powhatan Point, Ohio, a son of the late Clarence Samuel and Myrtle Ramsay Kriechbaum.
Laverne was a farmer, coal miner, heavy equipment operator and well driller. He was a 1946 graduate of Powhatan High School. Bud was a member of Moriah Lodge #105 F. & A.M. at Powhatan Point and a member of the True Sportsman's Club in Jacobsburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson, Tyler Cordery; a sister, Ethel Marie Taylor; and a nephew, Keith Taylor.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Mary Catherine Bennett Kriechbaum; three daughters, Karen Sue (John) Saladin, Marlene (Bill) Ramsay, and Mary Ann (Jim) Gooch; seven grandchildren, Melissa English, Kari Miller, Johnny Cordery, David Cordery, Jason Magnani, Tara Knight, and Adam Magnani; and 15 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
A Masonic funeral service will be held on Sunday at 7:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
