Ruth Lucille Steadman, 74 of St. Clairsville, Ohio formerly of New Philadelphia, Ohio died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Belmont Manor in St. Clairsville.

She was born April 6, 1944 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Herman Steadman and Emma Sonnenwald Steadman.

Ruth was a retired school teacher from New Philadelphia City Schools, a member and past regent of Daughters of the American Revolution Port Lawrence Chapter, Retired Teachers Association of Tuscarawas County, Tuscarawas County Amateur Photographic Club, Quilt Guild, Rubber Stamping Club, and Genealogical Society.

Surviving are her brother, Arthur "Bud" (Donna) Steadman of Jacobsburg; nephews, Zack (Heidi) Steadman and Robert (Melissa) Steadman; great nephew and nieces, Wesley, Delaney, and Aubree

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Powhatan Cemetery at 1 p.m. with Pastor Karen Byrne officiating.
