Ruth Palmer, 92, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away with her family by her side on April 14, 2016 at Park Health Center.

She was born on January 18, 1924 in Barnesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles M. and Amelia N. (Friday) Coss.

Ruth was a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church of St. Clairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jill; son, Wayne "Chip" Van Curen; and five siblings.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 33 years, Allen C. Palmer; her daughters Gretchen Young of Heath, Ohio; Jane Vazquez of Pickerington, Ohio; Kimberly (Paul) Rutland of Richland, Washington; and step-children Barbara Tengs of Springfield, Virginia; and David (Leanna) Palmer of Castle Rock, Colorado; grandchildren John, Jason, Jennifer, Janna, Micah, Katy, Mason, Korie, and Sydnie; step-grandchildren Kelly and Matthew; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, 141 South Marietta Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of the Service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Burial follows at Richland Cemetery in St. Clairsville.
