JOHNSON, Ruth H. Van Dyne, 71, loving wife, mother, and grandmother of Flushing, Ohio died Monday, April 21, 2014 in East Ohio Regional Hospital.

She was born April 10, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of Rosemary Van Dyne Cook and the late Albert Van Dyne.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Philip L. Johnson Sr.

Surviving are her children, Philip (Sandra) Johnson Jr. of Bannock Brenda Johnson, Kelly Johnson and Andy Johnson of the home; two grandchildren, Philip "PJ" Johnson III and Jennifer Johnson of Bannock; her mother, Rosemary Cook of Florida; two sisters, Sharon Lawrence of Florida, Mary Martha Fulton of St. Clairsville; three brothers, Willie Van Dyne of Florida, Buddy Van Dyne of Indiana and David Van Dyne of Nevada; a special niece, Patsy; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Brad Schrum officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
