Russell J. Korpon, 66, of St. Clairsville, Ohio went to meet his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2016.

He was born August 29, 1949 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late John P. Korpon and Theresa Kubic Korpon.

Russell was retired from Consolidation Coal Co. Franklin #125 Mine and he was a member of Harbor of Hope Church. Russ loved classic cars, especially his 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. He loved Irish Setters and Beagle dogs, spending time outdoors, and harassing anyone and everyone with his many off the wall jokes.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Patricia K. Hirauk Korpon; a daughter, Kristin Wittenbrook & her husband Daniel Hough of St. Clairsville; two grandsons, Nick Wittenbrook with his fiancé, Shana Glasgow of St. Clairsville and Layne Krivenko; a brother, Timothy (Nancy) Korpon of Colerain; a sister, Jacqueline Norland of Illinois; a wonderful church family; and many great friends.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Services will be held at Harbor of Hope Church in St. Clairsville on Tuesday at 12 Noon with Pastor Dean Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
