Rowland Albert Armann, 94, of Powhatan Point, Ohio passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at his home. He was born December 24, 1929 in Powhatan Point, a son of the late George Edward and Carrie Mildred Bonar Armann.
Rowland was a retired electrician for the former Ormet Corporation for 35 years, a member of Intercontinental Church of God. Rowland was Past Master of Moriah Lodge # 105 F & AM in Powhatan Point serving four different times. He was a 32 Degree Mason and belonged to Osiris Shrine and the Scottish Rite. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy with two different times of service on the USS Philippine Sea. He also was a member of VFW Post #5565 and American Legion Post #228 both of Powhatan Point.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Scott Armann in 2017; three daughters, Barbara Armann, Susan Armann and Patsy Armann Meadows; a brother, Arthur Armann; a sister, Deloris Armann Passmore; a daughter-in-law, Marie Armann.
Surviving are his children, Kathy Burch, Mike (Lori) Armann, James (Helen) Armann and George Armann all of Powhatan Point; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; three great great grandsons.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio with Masonic Services at 6 pm in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12 pm with Pastor Tom Redmon officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
