Obituary

Rose Antionette Vcelka, 84 of Markatan St., Flushing, Ohio died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Forest Hill Retirement Center in St. Clairsville.

She was born November 4, 1922 in Lafferty, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph Peroni and Gaetana Greco Peroni.

She was a retired employee of Oak View Nursing Home in St. Clairsville, a member of St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Flushing and the Catholic Women?s Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Huml, and a brother Emil Peroni.

Surviving are six children, Louis (Yvonne) Huml of Grove City, Ohio, Joe (Bobbie) Huml of St. Clairsville, Butch (Nora) Vcelka of St. Clairsville, Kathy (Chris) Valine of Belmont, Buddy (Karen Porter) Vcelka of Pickerington, Ohio, and Julie (John) Jozwiak of Flushing; a brother, Tony (Diane) Peroni of St. Clairsville; sister-in-law, Betty Peroni of Chicago; 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and a great grandson on the way; several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Flushing. Burial follows in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty, Ohio.

A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
