Rose A. Brunkala Chuckery, 89, of Maynard, Ohio died Friday, September 11, 2015 in Forest Hill Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.
She was born on October 29, 1925 in Maynard, Ohio, a daughter of the late Anton and Rozalia Domin Brunkala.
Rose had worked as "Rosie Riveter" welding at Wheeling Stamping during World War II. She was an active member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard where she was a Charter Member of the Catholic Women's Club. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville. Rose was an avid reader, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting and quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Chuckery; six brothers, Anthony, John, Jim, Andy, Frank and Joe Brunkala; and a sister, Mary Suchetka.
Surviving are her five children, Patricia (Mike) Viens of Lexington, Kentucky, James (Pat) Chuckery of Wheeling, Janis (Al) Molnar of St. Clairsville, Joseph (Karen) Chuckery of Maynard and Marybeth (Ron) Pitner of Pleasant Grove; three grandchildren, Jonathan (Megan) Chuckery, Anne Marie Viens and Sara Molnar; a great grandson, Joshua Chuckery; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Brunkala of Winter Park, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio with a Vigil Service at 3 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville with Father Thomas Chillog the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
