Mengon, Rose Aldretta "Dee", 83 of Lloydsville, Ohio died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born June 6, 1930 in St. Clairsville, a daughter of the late W.T. McCort and Florence Gallagher McCort.

She was a former employee of Oak View Nursing Home and Belco Crafts, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilfrid J. Gallagher and Marion M. Mengon; a son, Wilfrid J. Gallagher; brothers, Charles, Bill, Art, and Doug McCort.

Surviving are three sons, Arthur (Jeanette) Mengon of Sunbury, Ohio, Lew (Carman) Mengon of St. Clairsville, and Mark (Julie) Mengon of Wadsworth, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Karen Gallagher of Barnesville; sisters, Caroline Harbak of Maumee, Ohio, Therese Santin of Akron, twin sister, Janine Bizanovich of St. Clairsville, Anne Riesbeck of Gahanna, Ohio, Florence Reirdon of Mahaffy, PA., Regina Flaherty of Columbus, Kathleen Mallet of St. Clairsville, and Geraldine Mansuy of St. Clairsville; a brother, Gerald McCort of St. Clairsville; sisters-in-law, Pearl Rieshman, Martha Terry, and Leola Brown; brother-in-law, Gerard Gallagher; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Gallagher, Tommy Gallagher, Adam Mengon, Justin Mengon, Crystal Cavano, David Mengon, Autumn Mengon, Katie Mengon, and Matthew Mengon; three great grandchildren, Christopher Gallagher, Khloe Gallagher, and Willow Mengon.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville with Father Michael Gossett the celebrant.

Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

A vigil service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
