Rosalie Jane Jozwiak, 87, of Flushing, Ohio went to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center. She was born June 9th, 1927 in West Virginia, daughter of Parker and Lillian DePriest.
Granny J, as she was affectionately known by many, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved sitting on her front porch looking at her flowers and listening to the wind chimes. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John "Babe" Jozwiak, Sr; several brothers and sisters; daughter Anna Jozwiak VanFossen; son Stanley "Stosh" Jozwiak; and grandson Custin Ferda.
She is survived by her children Phyllis Hostetler of Richmond, VA, Paul Jozwiak of Jackson, OH, John (Julie) Jozwiak Jr. of Flushing, OH, Mary Watson of Flushing, OH, David Jozwiak of Flushing, OH, Margaret Ferda of Saint Clairsville, OH, and Robert "Bobby" (Tessi) Jozwiak of Cadiz, OH; sisters Nellie Martin and Juanita Ruzek of Rainelle, WV, Patty Kessler of Rupert, WV and Gladys Simms of Union, WV; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to all of the staff of Cumberland Pointe and hospice staff of Amedysis for their excellent care and kindness shown to Granny J. She loved you all.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held Wednesday at 1 pm with Father Fred Kihm officiating. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lafferty, Ohio.
