Obituary
Ronald Lee Young, 78, of Belmont, Ohio died October 17, 2017 in Forest Hill Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.
He was born June 6, 1939 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late William H. and Violet Ciocca Young.
Ron was retired from Saginaw Mining Company. His passion was race horses and was a warm up jockey in his youth which is how he met his wife. He was a former plural member of DeSoto Masonic Lodge # 105 F. & A.M. in Florida and Belmont Lodge # 16 F. & A.M. in St. Clairsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol J. Young.
Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Szymanski Young; children, Gary, Larry and Kim Young; and good friends, Curtis Kyer, Brenda, Mason, Sarah and Ethan Kyer and Roger Kyer.
Friends and family will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 3 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. with Rev. Homer Harden officiating.
Memorial contributions maybe made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
