Ronald Lee Woods, Sr., 73 of Belmont, Ohio died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his home.

He was born September 20, 1941 in Maynard, Ohio, a son of the late John and Marion Cullen Woods.

Ron worked maintenance at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for 20 years, and was a former coal miner and construction worker. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Belmont and U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Woods; and a sister, Marion Henderson.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Sue Eddy Woods; a daughter, Robin (Jason) Sponhaltz of St. Clairsville; a son, Ronald Lee Woods, Jr. of Belmont; several nieces and nephews; his dogs and his best friends, Jackie and Sunshine.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 1 to 3 & 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Kim McFarland officiating. Burial follows in Belmont Cemetery.
