Ronald E. Horvath, 78, of Barton, Ohio died January 15, 2018 in Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born September 11, 1939 in Barton, Ohio son of the late Frank and Julia Kuhn Horvath.
Ron was a retired tax map clerk for the Belmont County Engineers Office having worked for the county for over 50 years. He was a member of the Wheeling Cave Club and the Hartman's Crew and social member of American Legion Post #159.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Stevenson Horvath; two brothers, Frank and Albert Horvath; four sisters, Helen Matthews, Katherine Clifford, Betty Manukin and Dorothy Shrieve.
Ron is survived by three children, Joe (Jayne) Tartler of Colorado, Leslie (Ron) Wildman of Shadyside and Becky (Doug) Reeves of Texas; four brothers, Jack, James, Robert and Richard Horvath; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Judy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.
