Ronald Dean Gulker, 78 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died after a lengthy illness on November 9, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born May 5, 1938 in Wheelersburg, Ohio, a son of the late Elmer and Pearl Townsend Gulker.
Ron was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in St. Clairsville, a former member of Carpenter's Local #3, and a contactor in St. Clairsville. He enjoyed weekly trips to the Amish Country and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Judy; a sister, Wanda Shope; a brother, Lehman Gulker; and his stepfather, Stanley Dutiel.
Surviving are his wife Debbie Gulker; two daughters, Kim (Jeff) Thrash of St. Clairsville, and Ronda (David) Cook of St. Clairsville; three grandchildren, Brandie Thrash, J.C. Thrash, and Kasey Cook Lombardi; three great grandchildren, Grace McFarland, Lila McFarland, and Alivia Thrash; stepchildren, Melissa (Cale) Norris of Centerville, OH, Barbie (Glenn) Riley of Florida, Aaron (Carla) Riley of Jacobsburg, OH, and Wayne (Brandi) Riley of Florida; 10 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren; special buddies, Jesi, Jax, and Justin Riley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barb and Sam Milhoan of Jacobsburg, Joby and Angie Walters of Arizona, Phyllis Kemp of Lexington, OH, Zanita Watts of Wheelersburg, OH, and Garnet Gulker of Florida.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Belmont County Memorial Park in St. Clairsville with Max Cook officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgeport Food Pantry.
