Ronald Vernon Cross, 59 of Willow Grove Rd., St. Clairsville died Sunday August 19, 2006 at Willow Grove.

He was born July 26, 1947 in Stewartsville, Ohio, a son of the late Jesse E. Cross and Thelma Whiteman Cross.

Ronald was a former employee of National Belt Service in Wheeling and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Francis "Tex", Jolly "Buzzy", Richard and Robert Cross.

Surviving are three brothers, David (Martha) Cross of Bellaire, Alan Cross of Virginia, and James (Jennifer) Cross of Moundsville; six sisters, Lucy (Robert) Beals of Bellaire, Rose (Jack) Wright of Cleveland, Anna Schmidt and Vera Kuhn of Shadyside, Sandra Cross of Bellaire, and Connie Spencer of West Virginia; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg.

Graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bellaire with the Belmont County Council of American Legions officiating.
