Ronald Richard Boger Sr., 82, of Powhatan Point, Ohio passed away April 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 28, 1937 in Steinersville, Ohio son of the late Clarence William Boger and Nada Elizabeth Kocher Boger.

Ron was a retired coal miner having worked for North American Coal Corp and Ohio Valley Transloading. He was a Protestant by faith and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Corey Adkins and Ashley Phillips and two brothers, Donald and Charles Boger.

Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Reed Boger; four children, Roberta (Paul) Clark, Terri Pyles, Holly Adkins and Ronald (Tina) Boger Jr.; a sister, Joyce (Mike) Smith; six grandchildren, Paul Clark II, Nicholas Clark, Brittany Reilly, Dawson Boger, Devin Boger and Delaney Boger; and four great grandchildren, Khloe and Brandon Clark, Cash and Stone Reilly.

With the government COVID-19 recommendations, a private service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Powhatan Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Floyd Atkinson officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Ronald's name.
