Obituary

Roman Borovich, 79, of Glencoe Rd., St. Clairsville, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born December 17, 1925 in St. Clairsville. A son of the late Roman and Mary Moroski Borovich.

He was a retired coal miner from Oglebay Norton?s Saginaw mine in St. Clairsville, a Navy veteran of WWII, served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, a member of Glencoe American Legion Post 632, UMWA, DAV # 117 in Bellaire.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorena Green Borovich; a son, Joseph Borovich; three sisters, Sophia Ruble, Mary Trytko, and Anna Ball.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Baker Jeffers Borovich; step daughters, Tina (Randy) Hayes of Warnock, Penny (Clay) Mannix and Robin (Glen) Fridley of Cincinnati, and Tammy (Bill) White of Morristown; three brothers, John (Elda) Borovich, Stanley (Lorena) Borovich of St. Clairsville, and Henry (Boots) Borovich of Glencoe; seven sisters, Pauline Kesterson of Cambridge, Helen (Bill) Clark of St. Clairsville, Sheila Hughes of Bellaire, Wanda (Hollie) Bunting of Barnesville, Mary (Chester) Bumgardner of Warnock, Frances Beckett of Bellaire, Jeanne (Jim) Sayre of Belmont; 2 grandchildren, Tara and Randy Borovich; 3 great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

A military graveside service will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of American Legions.
