Roger C. "Butch" Thrash, 77, of Lorain, OH formerly of Flushing, OH died Friday, July 16, 2021 at Elmcroft Assisted Living Center, Lorain.  He was born June 29, 1944 in Uniontown, OH., a son of the late Clayton and Marie Thompson Thrash.

Roger was a retired employee of I.B.E.W. Local #71 of Columbus, OH; a member of Flushing Masonic Lodge 298 F &AM, American Legion Post 366, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.  Roger was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Pelkey Thrash in 2015; siblings, Jack Thrash, Betty Teaff, Martha Holloway and Clyde Thrash.

Surviving are his children, Roger T. (Sharon) Thrash of Lorain and Shannon (Robert Browne) Boesel of Elyria, OH; grandchildren, Taylor M. Thrash and Zachary W. Boesel; a sister, Virginia Carothers of Canton, OH.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 11 am until time of funeral service at 1 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, OH with Pastor Robert Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing with full Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
