Roger Lee Senakievich, Sr., 82, of Bannock, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born March 6, 1944 in Lafferty, Ohio, a son of the late Louis and Delora “Doris” Moore Senakievich.

Roger was a coal miner with the former Saginaw Coal Mine in St. Clairsville. Following the closure of the mine, he was a truck driver for Kovac Trucking and a farm hand for the Kinder Farms. He was a member of UMWA and the Harbor of Hope Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Sanders Senakievich in 2025; sisters, Phyllis Ewing, Kathleen Beal, Mary Black, Darlene Stanton and Carol Newland; brothers, Louis and John Senakievich.

Surviving are his children, Connie Drewett of Bethesda, Ohio, Roger (Mary Jane Hodges) Senakievich, Jr. of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Rick Senakievich of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Sam Hynes, Owen (Brittany Boehnlein) Drewett and Ira (Alyssa) Drewett, Jr. four great grandchildren, Ava and Leon Drewett, Shae Hynes and Remington Drewett; three great great grandchildren, Leo and Levi Drewett and Savannah Worwa; siblings, Joe (Barb) Senakievich of Flushing, Ohio, Dale Senakievich of St. Clairsville and Linda Robbins of Fairpoint, Ohio.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville. Additional visitation on Monday from 10 am until time of funeral services at 12 pm with Bishop Dr. Darrell W. Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
