Roger Lee Otto, 68 of Bellaire, Ohio died Friday, March 20, 2015 at his home.
He was born September 13, 1946 in Dilles Bottom, Ohio, a son of the late Harry Warren Otto and Vivian Vaughn Graham Otto.
Roger was a former heavy equipment operator in the construction and coal mining industries, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, member of VFW Post #626 in Bellaire and American Legion Post #521 in Shadyside.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Andrea Otto Fleming.
Surviving are three children, Misty Otto of Shadyside, Brian Otto of Bellaire, and Carrie (Robert) Bier of Beallsville; his best friend and mother of his children, Shelly Otto of Shadyside; brothers, Lonnie (Norma) Otto of Barnesville, and Gregory Otto of Jacobsburg; a sister, Sherri (Tom) Harmon of Florida; brother-in-law, Al Fleming of Florida; seven grandchildren, Victoria Otto, Taylor Smith, Zane Otto, Bryce Otto, Aubrey Otto, Toby Otto, and Tucker Otto.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 12 noon on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio with Pastor Jack Palmer officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bellaire VFW Post #626.
Full Military Honors will be provided by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
