Roger William Higgins Sr.'s Obituary
Roger William Higgins Sr., 72 of Glencoe Rd., Belmont, Ohio died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
He was born in Bellaire, Ohio on January 26, 1943, son of the late William A. "Bill" Higgins and Audrey Neitzelt Higgins.
Roger was a retired employee of Jacob and Sons Meats in Martins Ferry. He enjoyed country music, Elvis Presley and working on automobiles.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Higgins.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Mary Agnes Holloway Higgins; a son, Roger W. Higgins Jr; a daughter, Margaret (Tarry) Phyillaiere all of Glencoe Rd., Belmont; two brothers, Keith (Jan) Higgins of Indianapolis, IN and Mark Higgins of Glencoe Rd., Belmont; three grandchildren, Rachel (Drew) Workman of Wintersville, Megan Higgins and Rebecca Higgins both of St. Clairsville; a great grandson, Mason James Workman; a friend, Chuck (Martha) Gump of New Martinsville; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., where services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Larry Helms officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Belmont Dialysis and Neffs Vol. Fire & Emergency Dept.
