Obituary

BROWN, Roger Lee, 63, was born June 21, 1947 in Powhatan Point, Ohio. He sadly lost his battle with a long illness on August 16, 2010 at Barnesville Health Care Center.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Palmer Brown of Powhatan Point.

Surviving are his sister, Barbara (Fred) Gallaher of Powhatan Point, Ohio; three brothers, Daniel (Martha) Brown of Beallsville, Ohio, Lester (Mary) Brown of Bethesda, Ohio and Nathan (Donna) Brown of Omaha, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews; great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Roger spent many years employed by Congressman Wayne L. Hayes where he worked several hours a day on the Hayes? Farm in Belmont, Ohio. He took great pride in that work. His favorite hobby and pastime was listening to gospel, old time rock and roll and country music.

He always has and always will hold a special place in the hearts of those that knew him. We will miss you greatly, but your memory will live on forever!

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery.
