Roberta Evangeline Lynn, 89 of Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell, Ohio formerly of St. Clairsville and Quaker City died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Summit Acres.

She was born February 12, 1922 in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Earl L. Oliver and Golden Skinner Oliver.

Roberta was a homemaker, previously attended East Richland Friends Church, and was a former member of the St. Clairsville Nazarene Church and Beaver Baptist Church in Batesville, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde J. Lynn and a daughter, Rita Lynn.

Surviving are four children, Carol Ruth (Don) Hodkinson of Caldwell, Ohio, Cathy L. (Willard) Hall of Spring City, TN., Evan Mark Lynn of Columbus, Ohio, and Jeanie Marie (Bruce) Miller of St. Clairsville; 8 grandchildren, Shelly Nixon, Wendy Hicks, April Swilling, Amber Neal, Erin Hodkinson, Matthew Miller, Wesley Miller, and Keeten Dailey; 8 great grandchildren, Logan Vincent, Baylee Vincent, Raven Ashburn, Curtis Ashburn, Riley Ashburn, Delaney Watson, Christopher Neal, and Faith Neal.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating.

A graveside committal service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday in the Friends Cemetery at Quaker City, Ohio.
