Weekley, Robert D. of Belmont, Ohio died Friday, October 1, 2010.
He was born December 30, 1918 at Kelsey Station, Jacobsburg, Ohio, a son of the late Joshua and Nina Haught Weekley.
Bob was a retired driver/mechanic for Wheeling-Pittsuburgh Steel. A member of the American Legion and the VFW at St. Clairsville, Ohio and an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Asian-Pacific Theatre at Hickam Field, Honolulu, Hawaii.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly; brothers Russ, Howard, Jim, Wib and Miles; sisters Freda, Hilda, Wilma and Irma.
Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laura Gatten Weekley; daughters, Connie (George) McMahon of Belmont and Penny of Portland, Oregon; sons, Randy (Kelle) Weekley of Belmont and Brian "Butch" Weekley of St. Clairsville; grandchildren Matt, Cortney, Stacie, Ryan, Kassee, Jason and Kristan; 5 great grandchildren, Dawson, Trey, Reed, Brendon and Willow.
Private memorial services for Bob will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
