Robert Wade, 55 of Belmont Habilitation Center in St. Clairsville died Monday, May 9, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.

He was born May 23, 1949 in Cambridge. A son of the late Arnold Wade and Sara Mayer Wade.

Robert was an employee of Belco Sheltered Workshop and a resident of Belmont Habilitation Center since 1983 where he made many friends. He was a unique and quiet man who was greatly cared for and in his own way let his own caring feelings be known to others. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy, Eddy, Harold, Arnold; sisters, Norma Jean and Elizabeth.

Surviving are his sisters, Nancy (Melvin) Gray of Cambridge, Patricia (Cecil) Peters of Senecaville and Judy (Roger) Smith of Buffalo; Aunt, Goldie Hilten.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating. Burial follows in Oak View Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
