Robert V. Speicher, Sr., 83 of Barton Rd., St. Clairsville died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born March 7, 1923 in Doylestown, Ohio, a son of the late Frank and Mary Becker Speicher.

Bob was a retired sales manager for Ashland Oil Company, a Marine Corp veteran of WWII, and a member of VFW post 5356 in St. Clairsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Gene Speicher.

Surviving are his wife, Constance "Connie" Hille Speicher; five children, Pam Stewart and her husband Forrest of Piedmont, Judy McManus and her husband Lloyd of Belmont, Cindy Rathburn and her husband Gary of Ashville, Ohio, Robert Speicher, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Hendrysburg, and Debbie Withers and her husband Mike of Lafferty; a sister, Maxine Musser of Marshallville, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Entombment follows at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Military services will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of Veterans of Foreign War at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
