Obituary
Robert P. Small, 74, of Harrisville, died Sunday, July 31, 2005.
He was born on August 21, 1930 in Cadiz, Ohio, son of the late Leo and Tressa Shebert Small.
Robert was a retired supervisor with A.T. & T. and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was President of the Korean War Veterans Association, Ohio Valley Chapter # 70, a member of the VFW post # 8848 at Colerain, a member of the American Legion Post # 525 at Adena and a member of the Eagles Aerie # 2541 at St. Clairsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Small and a sister, Elizabeth Small.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Mamie Small; three children, David Small and his wife Carol of Orlando, Florida, Keith Small of Cleveland, Ohio and Patti Meddles and her husband David of North Ridgeville, Ohio; three sisters, Veronica Clifford, Jean Hendershot and Rose Marie Sanphy; three brothers, Richard, Donald and David Small; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until time of services at 8 p.m. The American Legion Post # 525 of Adena will conduct services at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Department of Ohio Korean War Veterans Association, 35 W. Chestnut St. - 4th Floor, Columbus, OH 43215.
