Siple, Robert James, 79 of Flushing, Ohio died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born May 2, 1931 in Fairpoint, Ohio, a son of the late Bert Siple and Freda Huntsman Siple.

He was a retired employee of Elwell-Parker, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight sisters, Irene Kish, Muriel Brunkala, Iona Parish Conner, Evelyn Skinner, Marie Donnell Shank, Virginia Marr, Peggy Talarovich, and Delsie Matis Edgell; a brother Donald Siple.

Surviving are three children, Geraldine (Brian) Baker of Charleroi, PA., Debbie Couch of Belmont, and Robert (Pam) Siple of Bay Village, Ohio; four step children, Ernie, Roy, Todd, and Glenna; a sister, Sara Ciarillo of Eastlake, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dean Lancaster officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct military honors at 12:45 Saturday in the funeral home.
