Obituary

George Robert "Bob" Ridgeway, 75 of Flushing, Ohio died Friday, August 10, 2007 at Crestview Health Care Center in St. Clairsville.

He was born March 30, 1932 in St. Clairsville. A son of the late James Alfred Ridgeway and Florence B. Rice Ridgeway.

Bob was a retired Consumer-Marketer for British Petroleum and former distributor for Sohio. He was a Navy veteran having served with a Construction Battalion during the Korean War. A member of the Flushing Ruritan, Commander of the Maynard American Legion Post #666 and member of the Belmont County Veteran?s Commission. Bob also coached the Maynard American Legion Baseball Team for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Ashton Ridgeway; a brother, Jimmy Ridgeway.

Surviving are five children, James Ridgeway of Flushing, John (Jamie) Ridgeway of Cadiz, Janeen Ridgeway Slavik of St. Leonard, Maryland, Jerry (Wendy) Ridgeway of Pasadena, Maryland and Janette (Stan) Twarog of Flushing; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m with Pastor Curtis Hallstrom officiating. Burial follows in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.

Full military honors will be provided by the Belmont County Council of American Legions on Monday at 10:50 a.m. in the funeral home.
