Obituary

Robert "Bob" Porter, a devoted father and proud grandfather, passed away unexpectedly but was surrounded by the love of his family. He was greeted at the gates of heaven by his dad Bill "Pop" Porter, his mom Betty Porter, and his niece Melissa Hughes.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army, worked at Consol Coal Mine, and later retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering sense of responsibility.

He is survived by his sisters, Karen Porter (Buddy Vcelka) and Debbie (Tom) Hughes; his former wife, Debbie Porter; his children, Heidi Porter, Ben (Melissa) Porter, Kimi (Eric) Kerns, and Billy Porter; his grandchildren, Gavin (Mackenzie) Porter, Haley (Cade) Leasure, Hannah (DJ Lucas) Porter, Braden-Beezer Porter, Gannon Kerns, Brody Kerns, Braden-Bam Porter, Jonathan Porter, and Willie Porter; and his great-grandchildren, Bailor Leasure, Luna Leasure, Axton Lucas, and Scottie Porter.

Bob found his greatest joy in his family, especially watching his grandchildren play sports. He was incredibly proud of them and loved being on the sidelines cheering them on.

He will be remembered as a great dad, a loving grandpa, and a man whose legacy of love, service, and dedication lives on through his family.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
