Robert Peter "R.P." Beckowitz, 71 of West Palm Beach, Florida formerly of Morristown, Ohio died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his home.
He was born March 26, 1943 in McKeesport, PA., a son of the late Peter Kashemere Beckowitz and Jane Fleagane Beckowitz.
Robert was the retired owner of R.P. Beckowitz Trucking formerly of Morristown, a Christian, and was a 20 year member and Past Fire Chief of Morristown Volunteer Fire Department as well as one of the founders of the department.
Surviving are his wife, Judith Kay Russell Beckowitz; two sons, John Spencer (Kristin) Beckowitz of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Shawn Robert (Andrea) Beckowitz of Loxahatchee, Florida; two sisters, Donna Monoyoudis of White Oak, PA., and Cassie McClung of Monterey, TN.; four grandchildren, Kyleigh Beckowitz, Kayden Beckowitz, Amanda Beckowitz, and Haley Beckowitz.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.
Burial follows in Union Cemetery, Morristown, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to Vitas Community Connection, 1901 S. Congress Ave., Suite # 420, Boynton Beach, Florida 33426.
