Robert Lloyd McFarland, age 75, of St. Clairsville, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at his home. He was born June 29, 1931 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, son of the late Robert E. McFarland and Anna Marjorie Wiley McFarland.

He was a retired employee from the former Pyrofax Gas Co. and Wilbert Vault Company and he was a farmer. Lloyd was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville where he was a head usher and was in charge of the sound system.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel M. Palmer McFarland; two children, Robert McFarland Jr. of St. Clairsville and Diana (Jerry) Lucas of Amelia, Ohio; two sisters, Iva Ritner of Cincinnati and Lois Bittikofer of Bucyrus, Ohio; four grandchildren, David (Morena) Lucas, Jennifer (Andrew) Ebbing, John (Jessica) Lucas and Jessica Lucas; four great grandchildren, Elijah Kiyuna, Joseph Thomas, Aariana Lucas and Alexander Ebbing.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
