Robert Gary Clark, 71, of St. Clairsville, OH died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.

He was born March 31, 1947 in Bellaire, Ohio son of the late Jack R. Clark and Darlene N. Long Clark.

Gary was a retired postmaster from the Martins Ferry Post Office. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of South Bellaire United Methodist Church, member of the former Martins Ferry Rotary Club. He enjoyed reading, painting and photography.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Jamie Lednik.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sheryl Elaine Loveless Clark; a sister, Cindy (Gene) Freeman; two brothers, Mark (Kim) Clark and Mike (Vanessa) Clark; nieces and nephews, Jacci (Joe) Herrick, Gene (Dawn) Freeman, Jonathan (Tilly) Freeman, Lori (Joey) Sommerville, Chad (Anna) Clark, Tricia Clark, Tommy (Beverly) Patrone and John Mike (Allison) Pacifico; great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where visitation will again be held on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Lish officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
