DAVIS, Robert E. Bob, 63, of Newark, Ohio, formerly of Neffs, Ohio, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.

He was born December 15, 1947 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late, Russell and Jane Kirby Davis.

Bob was a retired employee from Quarto Mine and former employee of Columbia Gas Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Joe; a U.S. Army veteran; and a lifetime member of Neffs Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Davis; two sisters, Nettie Savage and Doris Lendon.

Surviving are his loving wife of 30 years, Wendy E. Yoho Davis; two daughters, Jessica (Terry) Arnott of Newark and Christine Davis of Columbus; a son, Robert (Leah) Davis of Beckley, West Virginia; a special Godson, Noah Santee; three granddaughters, Brooke and Berkley Davis and Hope Arnott; two sisters, Luetta Trigg and Marge Bailey both of Neffs.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville where services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Evangelist Jonathan McNulty officiating. Burial will follow in High Ridge Cemetery, Bellaire.

Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of American Legions on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
