Robert L. "Bob" Brooks, 93, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Thursday, August 15, 2019 in Continuing Healthcare of Shadyside.

He was born at Jacobsburg on January 15, 1926, a son of the late Sherman and Gertrude Harlan Brooks.

Bob was a retired coal miner from Ohio Valley Coal # 6 Mine and former gravedigger for Armstrongs Cemetery and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Loretta "Sis" Kelly Brooks; brothers Lawrence Brooks, Walter Brooks and Dave Brooks; and sisters Audrey Stillion, Mildred Rushin, Norma Peel and Ethel Rushin.

He is survived by a brother, Raymond Brooks of Jacobsburg, a sister, Edna Warren of Canton, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Tuesday at 12 p.m. at Armstrong Cemetery, Armstrongs Mills, Ohio with Wayne Clark officiating.  Belmont County Veterans Association will conduct military honors in the cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio.
