Ricky Layne Tomlinson, age 58, of Farmington Road, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at his home. He was born March 30, 1949 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of Gladys Graham Tomlinson and the late Harry Edison "Poke Root" Tomlinson.

Ricky was an employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel?s Yorkville Plant. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War; a member of the St. Clairsville American Legion Post 159 and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Friends Church.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Gladys I. Tomlinson of St. Clairsville are his wife, Judy D. Hall Tomlinson; a son, Kevin L. Tomlinson of the home; a grandson, Alex; two brothers, Mick (Debbie) Tomlinson of Moundsville, WV and Brad (Diane) Tomlinson of Hilliard, Ohio; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Hall of Newark, Ohio.

There will be a memorial service held at the Mt. Pleasant Friends Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Ogden officiating. Arrangements handled by Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
