Richard "Rick" Lynn Early, 65, of Belmont, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born August 3, 1960, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late George Richard "Dick" Early and Mina Jane Trigg Early.

Rick was a retired roofer for Mansuetto Roofing. He was a member of Roofers Local #188. He loved the outdoors, trapping, hunting, fishing and growing his garden. He enjoyed going on road trips and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several stepbrothers and sisters.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patty Louise Burdine Early; two daughters, Shannon (Lawrence "Mike") Leonard and Cheyenne (Cody Gilbert) Early; two grandchildren, Tyler and Michaella Leonard; sister, Cindy Padgett; step sister, Rosemary Olinski; step brother, Charles Bonfine; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of funeral services at 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg with Rev. John Jackson officiating. Final arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
