Richard F. "Rich" Yudasz, 76 of Barton, Ohio was called to his final rest on Sunday, January 6, 2008 while at home with his loving family by his side.
Richard was born January 31, 1931 in Crescent, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Valeria Budziach Yudasz.
He was a retired farmer, and foreman for the Oglebay Norton Mining Company at Saginaw Mine in St. Clairsville. He was founder and owner of Barton Septic Tank Service, Barton Division. Richard was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard; member of the Maynard PNA, Fairpoint Polish Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles in St. Clairsville, the Ohio Valley Branch of ME-MMA, and a past member of the Barton Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid St. Clairsville Red Devil sports fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John and Joseph Yudasz; sisters, Mary Turkaly, Anna Gazdik, Stella Marma, and Frances Antolak.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Helen Kyanko Yudasz; daughters, Joyce (Larry) Apicella and Mary Jo LaRoche of Barton; son, Richard P. of St. Clairsville; three sisters, Sophie Antolak, and Betty Holubeck of St. Clairsville, and Victoria Shipta of Parma, Ohio. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Christy and Megan LaRoche, Emylee, Marisa, and Mariah Yudasz; a great grandson, Dominick Clark.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m. A funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Father Thomas Graven the celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
There will be a vigil service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by PNA service at 3:15 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, Barton Volunteer Fire Department, or St. Clairsville High School Athletics.
