Richard D. Coe, 75, of Lafferty, Ohio, formerly of Warnock, died December 27, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born May 21, 1944 in Warnock, Ohio, a son of the late Willard Coe and Willa Piper Coe.

Richard retired after operating his own HVAC and Plumbing Company and was the owner and operator of R & M Bait Shop in Lafferty.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War; a Presbyterian and member of VFW Post 5356 in St. Clairsville. Richard was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tom Coe; two brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Coe, 3 half-brothers, Cecil, Ceril and William Francis Coe; a sister, Vivian Finney and a half-sister, Hilda Taylor.

Surviving are his beloved companion, Mary Briggs of Lafferty; a son, Rick Coe of Warnock; a stepson, Orion Briggs of Blaine; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and special niece, Madeline Shipe of Lansing and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Al Hoder officiating. Private burial will be in Warnock Cemetery.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
