Richard Thomas "Rick" Cilles Jr., 65, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

He was born December 13, 1957, at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, on a military base where his parents, Richard T. Cilles Sr. and Katherine Joyce Smith Cilles Dimitro were stationed.

Rick was a retired chemical operator from Momentive Performance Materials and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Bethany Cilles Paul and a brother, Michael Cilles.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Catherine Jo "Cathie" Booth Cilles; a son, Michael (Katie) Cilles; grandchildren, Delaney Paul, Tucker Cilles, Hudson Cilles and soon a granddaughter Lucy Kate Cilles; and a brother, Jeffrey Cilles.

Honoring Rick's wishes, there will be no public services. There was a Celebration of Life held for close friends and family. Arrangements were entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
