Richard C. "Dick" Burda, 84, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died May 8, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born August 16, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late Rudolph and Rosa Polivka Burda.

Dick was a former employee of Clevite Corporation and later worked for Wal-Mart.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Robert Burda and two sisters, Mildred Torrey and Jenny Hose.

Surviving are his son, Richard C. "Rick" Burda II and his wife Sherri of New York, NY and Rick's mother Carol Burda of St. Clairsville; a sister, Dolly Derry of Bellaire, Ohio; two grandchildren, Ethan and Colette Burda; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday from 4 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating. The Belmont County Veterans Association will conduct Military Honors at 7 p.m. Saturday.
