Richard Lucien Briggs's Obituary
Richard Lucien Briggs, 84, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Monday, October 5, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born September 27, 1931 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Roy Briggs and Pauline Gailord Briggs.
He was a former employee of Ormet Corporation, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, George, Alfred, and Robert Briggs; a sister, Bertha Shane.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Young Briggs; two children, Derek Briggs of Yorkville and Janet Brookins of Yorkville; three step children, David Hodorowski of Bellaire, Karen Zonker of Bellaire, and Kelli Dague of Triadelphia, WV; five grandchildren, Christian and Cameron Briggs, Shane, Tyler, and Nathan Brookins; ten step grandchildren, Bradley, Kaitlyn, and Hannah Hodorowski, Devin Helt, Amanda and Andrew Masciarelli, Riley Zonker, Ashley, Alex, and Emily Dague.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville.
