Sabo, Raymond William "Rabbit", 74 of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at his home.
He was born September 5, 1938 in Dillonvale, Ohio, a son of the late William Sabo and Grace Elida Runyan Sabo.
Ray was a retired employee from Oglebay Norton's Saginaw Mine in St. Clairsville, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and a UMWA member.
He was a loving and giving man, he enjoyed farming and sports of all types.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Angel Duffey.
Surviving are his loving wife, Audrey Bell Sabo; a son, Ray (Becky) Sabo, Jr. of Martins Ferry; a daughter, Brenda Spencer of Wheeling; stepchildren, George Duffey, Jr. of Bellaire, Kaleb, Audrey, Jakob, Jorgia, and Gracie Sabo all of the home, Joseph Conner of South Carolina, Jody (Kathy) Bell of Bellaire, Richard Bell of West Virginia, Lori Conner of South Carolina, and Donald (Kara) Payton of North Carolina; sisters, Janet (Carl) Krob of Blaine, and Sharon Neavin of Martins Ferry; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 1 to 3 & 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon with Rev. Gerald Blon officiating.
Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
Full military honors will be provided by the Belmont County Council of American Legions at 11:45 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
