Ray G. Dague, 68, died January 10, 2018 peacefully at Park Health Center. Born January 14, 1949.
He was a teacher in Ohio Valley schools, 17 years at Wheeling Country Day and 15 years at John Marshall High School. Retired in 2014 as Marshall County's Teacher of the Year. He had two books published in 2017 that can be found on Amazon.
He graduated from McGuffy High School, PA. Received his bachelor's from Indiana University of PA. a Masters of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a masters from West Virginia University in special education. He enjoyed teaching, coaching, sports, fishing, and hunting, but most of all, his family. He was involved for many years with helping persecuted Christians all over the world through the Voice of the Martyrs organization.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents George Faubel Dague and Marjorie Clutter Dague.
Surviving is his wife Kathy (Kocsis) Dague, son Ryan Tyler Dague of Pittsburgh, two daughters, Kristen Lingis of Fredericktown, PA and Kelly McMillen of St. Clairsville. Four grandchildren; Haylee & Emily Lingis, Evan & Avery McMillen.
A memorial service is planned for January 20 at noon at East Richland Friends Church in St. Clairsville, with Jerry Wenger officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
